Enhancements

Landscaping Enhancements

Part of the art of gardening is knowing how and when to edit existing garden spaces. We have created an in-house project team that is not only trained in horticultural skills, but also broader landscape installation techniques. This lets us control quality, schedule and have smoother communications so there are no surprises.

We are currently providing landscape design and installation services
for our Fine Gardening clients only.

If you would like to join the wait list to become a Fine Gardening client,

Landscape Design Services

Our founder, Leigh McGonagle, is a trained landscape architect, and over the past 15 years has experimented and tried hundreds of plants that thrive in the Finger Lakes. Her design eye is unparalleled, and brings a sophistication to any landscape.

We frequently are asked by our maintenance clients to update, refresh and redesign their existing landscapes as their lifestyle changes. This can look like anything from a conceptual design to renderings and 3D perspectives depending on the scope of the project.

Plant Selection & Sourcing

With our vast network of wholesale growers, native plant nurseries, tree nurseries and more - we have access to some of the broadest range of plants in the region.

One of our roles is to help homeowners look for hard to find specimens that really add a focal point to a garden space. And sometimes we even work with other landscape designers or contractors to help recommend or source plant material for projects.

Project Management

Based on the high degree of trust and understanding of aesthetic preferences we have built with our clients, we often get asked to manage or coordinate sub contractors for special projects that are outside the scope of the services that we provide in-house.

As a specialist in our own craft, we respect and have built strong working relationships with trade partners around the region, making sure to thoroughly vet each one before recommending them to work on your property. Due to those long partnerships, our projects run smoother than if you had to coordinate with individual companies on your own.

Installation of New Beds

When existing clients create an addition to their home, or simply want to add new beds - we can be your first phone call, since we already know your style and plant preferences.

We make sure the best soil blend is used, pick the healthiest plants, and make sure we install plants using the best horticultural practices. This helps new plantings start off on the right foot.

Bed Renovations

One of the best ways to give an existing landscape a facelift is renovating beds that already exist! This may mean pruning or removing overgrown shrubs or small trees, extending bed edges, adding new plant material or maybe even garden art!

We use the same methodology as new installs - making sure we first align on your vision, and then propose either a full design concept, or a simple sketch - to ensure that we make edits that enhance the existing beds and create a beautiful space for you to relax when you come home!
